Laura Peck's sound draws inspiration primarily from the golden era of late 90s/ early 2000s tech house, while incorporating elements of breaks, funk-laced electro, and rich euphoric, lush house with a signature cinematic feel. Her production and selections are infused with atmospheric pads, unique percussive elements, commanding permeating sub-lows, 303 basslines, and shifting hypnotic grooves. Classic, retro components blended with forward-thinking concepts create a notable audio blend that is simultaneously futuristic and nostalgic; abstract but concrete. Laura and her brand Elicit are also the primary collaborator with AUF for our CONDITION parties, which focus on curating special spaces for more niche and underground sounds. With respected releases on Sunday Sessions LA, Honne Music, Yoon, and Gliese Records, Laura is known for her meticulous and highly skilled production work and is an established and well-respected selector with a mainstay presence throughout Southern California and Baja. Her sets are known for her smooth, warm, methodical blends and her ability to engage listeners with astute track presentation and unique storylines. Laura is also a primary team member as Community Catalyst for Sunday Sessions, a weekly all-vinyl event in Los Angeles which is dedicated to building a destination for listeners seeking rare timeless analog sound.
